I was thinking, it's been a hell of a year, and it might be nice to do something fun.

Diwali (The Festival of Lights) is next month - I'll save you the religion lesson, it's basically a celebration of, you know, community and all that, with all the regular party stuff - food (all vegetarian, sorry), alcohol, and you make lanterns and light them - although now that I think about it, there are enough magic people and light projectors here we might not actually need the lanterns. But they're fun to make.

I don't know I'm describing it very well, or if anyone would be interested, but I thought I'd see what other people think. Also, if we do this, I need help with cooking. So don't be shy

It's a Hindu holiday. Contrary to what pop culture says, I don't worship cows, but I do respect the eating habits and traditions. Besides, it's Indian food

Festival about light? I'm totally in! I'll help with the lanterns and stuff, and if you need someone in the kitchen to wash dishes and empty trash and stuff, I can do that. Ooh, and Alison! Do you want to work together on some extra light tricks? I'm all for the traditional lanterns, but there's no reason why we can't add our own touch, right, Topaz?

I'm useless in the kitchen (and you have a lot of volunteers) but I can fetch and carry for you, especially if you need any specialty items from the original source. ;) Delhi likes me and dipping my powers in the city will do me a lot of good.
